Workday Transition
My experience as a program manager, coupled with my deep institutional knowledge, made me well-suited to contribute to the Integrated Renewl Project (IRP) team. I had a strong understanding of the team’s functional needs and the ability to leverage my drive, innovation, and communication skills to collaborate effectively with transition and business leads. This allowed me to identify key challenges and deliver solutions through the successful implementation of Workday.
Opening Week
I co-led the planning and execution of onboarding for 300 MBA, MBAN, and MM students from December to August. This included conducting welcome calls, creating orientation modules (e.g., focused on EDI and Academic Integrity), and co-planning a 4-day orientation. My responsibilities involved sourcing speakers, securing venues, and collaborating with internal and external partners. I also led workshops and provided ongoing support to students ensuring a seamless and engaging experience.
Academic Concessions
Academic concessions are adjustments made to accommodate students facing unforeseen challenges, such as illness or personal emergencies, that impact their ability to meet academic requirements. I supported this process by assisting in decision-making, advising students on concession requests, and contributing to the redesign of the submission form.
23rd Annual Deans and Directors Meeting
As part of the Global Network for Advanced Management (GNAM), UBC Sauder School of Business hosted the Deans and Directors Event, a key gathering of academic leaders from 32 graduate schools worldwide to foster collaboration and share insights. I co-led the planning and execution of the event, managing venue selection, attendee communications, and working with the MarCom team to ensure cohesive branding and visuals. My efforts ensured a seamless and impactful experience.
IMBA Vancouver Residency (Class of 2023 & 2024)
I planned and executed a 2-week residency for 30 students visiting from Shanghai. This involved supporting a team of instructors in building their learning management system and creating the academic schedule. Additionally, I coordinated the logistics for extracurricular activities, including a city tour, ropes course, and a celebration reception, ensuring a seamless blend of academic and extracurricular experiences for the students.
Global Immersion Experience (GIE)
I supported the planning and delivery of the Full-time MBA program's mandatory Global Immersion Experience course. This course involves students working on a consulting project from November to January, followed by travel to a foreign country to learn about the local business landscape and meet with clients in person before presenting their findings. I accompanied 24 students and 2 staff/faculty on a two-week exchange and consultation in Madrid.
PMBA Residency III & II
I planned and executed two 8-day residencies for 120 professional MBA students across two cohorts. This involved supporting instructors with the development of the learning management system, creating academic schedules, and ensuring timely grade submissions. Additionally, I managed the logistics for room bookings, catering, guest speakers, and final receptions, ensuring a smooth and successful residency experience for all participants.
IMBA Superlative Celebration Video
The UBC IMBA program is a 20-month experience that includes a two-week intensive course in Vancouver, featuring both academic sessions and team-building activities. Following the transition to an online format, I was tasked with finding innovative ways to celebrate the students' learning and collaboration virtually. To achieve this, I gathered votes from the cohort through a Qualtrics survey and produced a video using Adobe Premiere Pro to celebrate their time together.
Escape Room (Survey)
As an Executive Assistant at UBC Sauder’s Robert H. Lee Graduate School, I leveraged my advanced Qualtrics skills to design a gamified "escape room" for incoming cohorts across five graduate programs. I transformed a traditional workshop on Academic Integrity into an engaging, interactive experience, which was completed by students during their Opening Weekend orientation.
GenOne Conference Booklet
I was hired to design the conference booklet for the First Generation Students' Union GenOne Conference. Using Adobe InDesign, I completed the project within 1.5 months, from the initial consultation to the final booklet delivery.
SPSP Conference Presenter
I completed my fourth-year honours thesis on "Examining the Effects of Allyship in Male-Dominated Workplaces" and presented my findings in a poster session at the 2021 Society for Personality and Social Psychology Conference.
4th Year Honours Thesis and Presentation
As a student in the Honours Psychology Program, I authored a 6,000+ word research paper examining the potential effects of allyship in male-dominated workplaces.
Chaired the 2020 Student Leadership Conference
As Chair of the Student Leadership Conference, I served as the MC for the Opening Ceremony at the Chan Centre for Performing Arts, welcoming approximately 1,000 delegates. Additionally, I utilized Adobe Premiere to create the Closing Video, which was presented at the end of the event.
Levitation Photography
This triptych was created using Adobe Photoshop as part of my class's "Digital Removal Project." The assignment required students to develop a series of images employing a consistent technique to remove specific elements or sections from photographs.
SLC Sponsorship Package 2020
As Chair of the 2020 Student Leadership Conference, I supported the sourcing and acquisition of sponsorships. Using Adobe InDesign, I created a sponsorship package that was distributed to over 30 organizations. Additionally, I managed outreach efforts through email, phone, and in-person meetings to secure funding for the conference.
3rd Year Honours Thesis and Poster
As a student in the Honours Psychology Program, I utilized Microsoft Word to complete a 6,000+ word research paper. Building on this work, I utilized Microsoft PowerPoint to create and present a poster at the 21st Annual Psychology Undergraduate Research Conference (PURC).
OC Gala 2018
I designed and organized a formal dinner and charity event for over 200 first-year residents. The event featured a sit-down, family-style dinner, photo booths, live music, and a live auction, raising over $600 for the Canadian Mental Health Association.
Systematic Literature Review Presentation
As part of the honours seminar requirements, students were required to deliver a 10-minute presentation either outlining their research or teaching a psychology-related topic. Drawing from my volunteer experience as a Research Assistant in the Health and Coping Studies Lab, I presented on the process of conducting a Systematic Literature Review, as well as best practices for utilizing citation management programs.
Graphic Designs for Volunteer Grandparents
As the Special Events Project Coordinator for Volunteer Grandparents, I was responsible for designing promotional materials, stewardship content, and fulfilling all graphic design needs. Using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Canva, I created a range of products, including window clings, banners, certificates, invitation packages, social media posts, cake designs, and more.
