About Me

Hello and welcome to my ePortfolio! My name is Maria Pollock (she/her) and I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Honours in Psychology with a minor in Health and Society from the University of British Columbia.

Here you will find samples of some of the work I’ve produced during my undergraduate degree but is by no means exhaustive or entirely comprehensive.

I believe my quick learning abilities, competency, and determination to achieve will help me in applying the skills I’ve learned in my undergrad to any professional setting as I pursue my career.

I value connection with others and I find meaning in supporting others. Acting as a resource is fulfilling for me and I enjoy both sharing and learning people’s stories. This is likely what drew me to psychology. Learning about human behavior and why people behave in the ways that they do allows me to empathize more deeply. In line with my affinity to building relationships, my top strengths according to Gallup CliftonStrengths Assessment are empathy, connectedness, harmony, achiever, and discipline.

I have an interest in digital media, event planning, and student affairs. However, overall I am just someone who always finds herself busy and wanting to learn more. I have an intrinsic curiosity and desire to master new skills.
