Residence Programming (2019-2020)

As a senior residence advisor, I was responsible for running 8 events for my community (of 34 first-year residents) per term. Event themes would vary in focus from social to educational, ultimately with the goal of building community by providing a welcoming space for students to connect. My responsibilities included ideating program goals, budget-planning, marketing event details, implementing setup and take-down, and documenting event evaluations.

murder mystery

As a Senior Residence Advisor, I had the unique opportunity to create a social for my colleagues (the 42 residence advisors in my community). I collaborated with two colleagues to write and execute a Murder Mystery from scratch.

I supported in creating the teams and ideating individual roles. Additionally, I was solely responsible for mail merging the player cards, as well as creating the decorations for the event.

CoffeeHouse

Coffeehouse was a talent show hosted for residents to both enjoy as an audience member and/or as a performer. I was responsible for designing the marketing materials which included a Qualtrics Survey that residents used to sign up for.

Scavenger Hunt

As a senior residence advisor, I was responsible for leading a team of five other RA's in executing a scavenger hunt for approximately 30 students. I was responsible for creating the passive which serves to be an educational resource for students regardless of whether they can attend the event or not. I was also responsible for creating the Qualtrics Survey for students to sign up. Additionally, I ensured the logistics of the event such as creating the clues, picking up the prizes, spending the budget appropriately, etc. were delegated and completed.
